A pattern of cloth; I found it interesting how certain yellow threads seemed to turn gold while others, also yellow, became a muddy brown color because of the angle of the camera.

The lines on the plate seem to act like rays of "light" emanating from the various spheres.

I think the thing that makes this photo good is the combination of the leading lines entering from the left and the added tilt-shift following the lines.

I added a bit of discoloration to the photo with Snapseed, which I believe made it significantly more interesting.

The orderly stitching contrasts the seemingly random patterns and colors on this cloth.

Some of the ice melted near the top of my car's windshield (where the blue part is), causing a fissure which allow an extra dose of light to penetrate through the barrier.

When being contrasted with snow, even the most minute, seemingly-boring parts of nature are visually appealing.

The recent snow and ice really brought out the beauty of the most simple plants, as their colors contrasted with the bright-white snow.

Turns out focusing your phone camera on the lights in a fan can give a really cool effect. Because of this effect, the bright lights of the fan seem to be engulfed by shadows.

A photo of a bedspread. The patterns of various lines and boxes intrigued me. I used a little bit of Photoshop to boost the contrast.

With this photo I tried to make it seem as if there were lights springing from the sink up into the lightbulbs. This was taken in the same room as a couple of my previous blog posts, yet, perhaps other than the walls, is strikingly different because of the arrangement of the colors of the lights.

More experimentation with the new lights. One this one, I attempted to make it seem like there was "water" in the bathtub. The white was a failed attempt at "soap," but it still gave off an interesting effect.

More of my experiments with new lights; the lighting on this photo was quite simple, really. I placed a red light in the sink by accident, and then saw the effect it displayed on the hand towel, which I thought was semi-eerie.

One of my many experiments with my new lights that I received on Christmas. I find it quite interesting that if you move them faster, a dot pattern appears, but if they are moved slower the lights seem to be a straight line.

When you're constantly looking for photographs, you learn to appreciate the notion that basically anything can be made into a photo. Indeed, some subjects are more interesting than others, yet some subjects are easily overlooked, such as this abstract artwork of a piano. Instead of taking a photo of the art itself, I took the camera in closer in order to observe the minute details that went into the creation of the art. From this photo, one would be unable to tell that this was a depiction of a piano.

This unique pattern is actually of a coat hanger. Certain individual bars pull out in order to hang the coats, but when not in use it becomes an abstract piece of art.

The hexagonal shape of the object in the foreground contrasted well with the circular shape of everything behind it.

I took this photo on an airplane just as we entered the clouds, causing the split in the photo.

These black and white lines are actually the crests and troughs of a lamp shade.
