Despite the grungy feel of this photo, this lamp was actually in a hotel! Like many other photos on my blog, the unique patterns initially caught my attention.

I saw this frozen-over lake while on a flight from Denver to Dallas. We had just left the ground near the Denver airport.

I found this wall in a hotel, and I really enjoyed the patterns made by the waves. They provided a lot of contrast for the photo.

This structure was interesting to me because of the water flowing down it, as well as how the light at the bottom made the water look. The bricks jutting out also provide contrast for the photo.

I found this interesting pattern "covering" lights in a hotel. It reminded me of bubbles.

This pottery etching, at least to me, is a samurai. The depth of the markings in the pottery as well as the texture is quite interesting.

If I were to be titling my photos on the blog, I would definitely name this "Pedestrian." The name sits to fit well with the image, as countless miniature pedestrians line the sidewalks hoping that a toy taxi might stop and pick them up.

This photo, which seems possibly Siskind-esque, is actually of fake rock, not real. It was part of a toy train exhibit at Northpark mall.

This photo is actually of the ceiling of a hotel lobby. The little "explosions" of light in the middle of a cluster of balls really gave off a cool effect.

I used Snapseed on this image of our 'haul' from Tomb Thumb in order to add "drama," if one could call it that. Cans of Coke are not particularly dramatic, but the effects helped enhance the letters in "Diet Coke."

I blurred around the center of the sink in order to focus solely on the drain. The clean, reflective surface looks wonderful in black and white.

I found this unique pattern on my mother's sewing box. The different colors of all the explosions/stars add to the photo-- if they were just one color, I would have hardly noticed them.
Dried paint close-up can actually be quite interesting, especially when the paint is different colors. I blurred the edges a bit to put more emphasis on the paint streaks in the middle.

A photo of the gingerbread/candy town at Northpark mall; I added a bit of Snapseed to make it more visually appealing.

The interesting patterns created by the wine and the wooden holders originally interested me, but I decided it would look best as a square photo. I also played around a bit with Snapseed and blurred the edges.

The vivid colors on the single-serving coffee cups initially made me take this picture. I also added a bit of tilt-shift with Snapseed.

The circles on this piece of pottery reminded me of the skin of a snake that is coiled around itself.

The interesting patterns within the squares of the wall make for an cool square photograph.

Another light painting experiment; it was tough to isolate the bike with the color, but this was my best "bike isolation."
