The basis for this video involves spreading goodwill and encouraging appreciation of other people (including friends and strangers).

Our project aims to prompt spectators, through an Instagram filter created with Spark AR Studio, to positively affect someone’s life that day (in a specific way) without seeking reward. We will include actions that are fairly simple to perform and yet often neglected in the whirlwind of everyday routine. Since the idea is to send (sometimes anonymous) positivity out into the world, we do not plan on including actions that take a person very far out of their way. Picking up some litter to make a maintenance worker’s job a little easier, cooking dinner for your friend, calling your parent, to name a few ideas.

We created a booth on Locust Walk at the University of Pennsylvania, where the most student foot traffic occurs, and asked passing individuals if they'd like to use the filter. Since our intended audience was Penn students who have busy schedules and are perhaps newly living on their own, this was an ideal spot to attract attention.

The nice thing about this project is not only were we able to have participants through a physical location on Locust, but also by using social media we were able to spread our project even further. By using a popular social media fad as our basis for the video, we hoped people would naturally be more attracted to participating in it.
